Construction and renovation of the paper storage, printing hall and dispatch area of NDC Grafisch Bedrijf in Leeuwarden.
The building and renovation project was divided into three phases.
Phase 0 consisted of changing the access to the paper storage area. This involved constructing an extension with new dock shelter. The extension consisted of a concrete floor with steel structure and siding.
Phase 1 consisted of expanding the printing hall, and the dispatch area. A 12m extension was added to the printing hall. This construction consisted of a concrete skeleton and floor with precast facade elements including a press table. The dispatch area was extended by 10m along its whole width. This extension consisted of a concrete floor with steel structure and siding.
Phase 2 involved the internal renovation and reconfiguration of the existing spaces in the printing hall and dispatch area.
This city center site was situated next to a railway line. This involved the use of prefabricated concrete frame and facade elements. The works also included elements of design.
