Visser & Smit Bouw designed and constructed the aboveground parking garage at the Rosmolenweg in Papendrecht.
750 parking spaces have been realised from the construction of the new parking garage. The parking garage has three parking levels, one at ground level and two above, with a total floor area of 18,000m2. A high level of user-friendliness has been integrated into the design of the car park. Its durability, and ease of maintenance was essential.
By using prefab concrete and the special facade cladding, the parking garage has a robust and solid appearance. On the ground floor level, the paving has been laid out to keep the transition from the street to this parking level small and freely accessible. The building consists of a prefabricated concrete frame, which is finished with an expanded metal facade that is partly clad with green (panels).
Boskalis remained fully operational during the works. Due to the nearby Boskalis laboratory, a vibration-free pile system was employed and logistic flows were taken into account.
