The PAVE II project involves the construction of a new condensed milk production plant on the existing production site on the outskirts of the centre of Leeuwarden.
Visser & Smit Bouw are responsible for increasing the production capacity from 1 billion to 1.5 billion kilos of milk. FrieslandCampina use this milk to make coffee milk and other condensed milk products. The milk processing facility was not only extended, but also moved. As a result, the distance between the milk delivery and processing areas was halved.
Our project consisted of the construction of a new production plant. This production plant was constructed on the existing production site on the outskirts of the centre of Leeuwarden. The scope of the work involved approximately 7,000m2 of gross floor area, with heights ranging from 25 to 40 metres. Sliding formwork was employed to shorten the construction time.
